Two men have been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage following an incident at St John’s Church, in Bodicote, in the early hours today.
The two men, aged 25 and 26, are alleged to have knocked over a statue and carried it away from the churchyard in Church Street at about 1.20am.
The men are still in police custody.
