Paintwork and chrome glistened in the sun as the second annual Cowley Classic Car Show rolled into action at Court Place Farm, Oxford.
The event – which was moved to the Marston venue after its previous home, the Lord Nuffield Club in Cowley, closed down – proved a big hit with Morris, MG and Rover enthusiasts.
Graham Taylor, from Cowley, is pictured with his 1935 MG PA.
Yesterday’s show also featured Aston Martin, Lotus and Bentley motors.
Organisers from the Isis Rotary Club hoped to raise more than £1,300 for Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres.
Rotary member Malcolm Fearn said: “We’ve had 180 cars booked in. Our oldest ones come from the 1920s — we’ve got some Flatnose and some Bullnose Morrises and we’ve got some other cars that aren’t connected with Cowley, but are quite incredible.”
Exhibitor Ian Binnie, from Longworth, near Abingdon, brought along his 1936 Series II Morris 10/4.
He said: “There’s been a lot of interest in my car. Everybody’s saying how their fathers or grandfathers used to drive one.”
