A man needed hospital treatment after he was attacked by a gang as he walked home just after midnight on Sunday, police said today.
The 19-year-old was in Newland Road, Banbury, at about 12.10am when he was assaulted by a group of approximately eight Asian men.
Sgt Bryan Percival said: “It was a particularly nasty attack and as a result the victim had to attend the Horton General Hospital for treatment to injuries on his face and his left eye.
“I would urge anyone who might have seen this group of men, or the attack, to contact us as soon as possible.”
