THE flavour of the Caribbean filled Wolvercote Young People’s Club.
The free Caribbean day was part of a summer programme of activities called Matrix, taking place in Wolvercote, Headington and Cutteslowe.
About 45 children aged 11 to 19 enjoyed five hours of activities with a Caribbean theme, including music, films, cricket and food.
There was also a chance to have a go at African drumming.
Dave Burroughs, 11, and friends are pictured holding the many flags which make up the Caribbean islands.
Youth worker Robert Evans said: “It’s been really good, people are really enjoying it. The programme is very much put together by the young people, so while we’ve got visits to Thorpe Park and Coral Reef, we also have cultural days on India and China.”
