A car fire and a crash this afternoon led to delays on the M40 in north Oxfordshire.
The car fire, on the southbound carriageway, caused delays between junction 11 at Banbury and junction ten at the Cherwell Valley Services.
An earlier crash between junction ten and junction nine at Wendlebury added to the delays.
Queues also built up on the opposite carriageway as drivers slowed to look at the incidents.
Traffic was also reported as slow on the A34 northbound between Oxford and the M40.
