Ben Birch, 21, of Cornwall Road, Banbury, admitted assault on March 29. Also admitted failing to surrender to the court on March 8, in Banbury. Given a conditional discharge for 24 months, and ordered to pay £70 costs.

Terry Hedley, 36, of Clarks Row, Oxford, admitted stealing a jacket to the value of £17.50 from Matalan, Banbury, on April 24. Also admitted stealing a St George’s watch to the value of £35 from Debenhams, Banbury, on April 24. Given a community order to carry out 150 hours’ unpaid work over the next 12 months, also ordered to pay £70 costs.

Nolan Haworth, 22, of Ribston Close, Banbury, admitted being drunk and disorderly in a public place in Banbury on May 9. Fined £50, ordered to pay £30 costs, and a £15 victims’ surcharge.

Michael Lilley, 37, of Marlborough Road, Banbury, admitted criminal damage to a property valued under £5,000, on April 13 in Banbury. Fined £70, ordered to pay £150 compensation, £30 costs and a £15 victims’ surcharge.

Ernest Murawski, 23, of High Furlong, Banbury, admitted drink-driving in Ruscote Avenue, Banbury, on May 13. Found to have 62 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. Banned from driving for 18 months, fined £200, ordered to pay £60 costs and a £15 victims’ surcharge.

Caroline O’Connell, 30, of Jubilee Court, Banbury, admitted stealing a purse and contents to the value of £35, in Banbury on March 18. Also admitted a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge. Fined £50, ordered to pay £35 compensation, £30 costs and a £15 victims’ surcharge.

David Lazell, 31, of Winterbourne Close, Bicester, admitted stealing whisky to the value of £110.97 at Bicester on August 21, 2008. Also admitted stealing a jet washer to the value of £199.99, at Bicester, on January 3. Also admitted stealing two tubs of ice cream to the value of £7.86, at Bicester on September 7. Also admitted stealing a cot mobile and a toy to the value of £41.98 at Bicester on March 20. Also admitted stealing a toy to the value of £17.99 on the same date. Also admitted failing to answer to court on May 8. Also admitted stealing meat to the value of £81.43 on May 11. Jailed for four months.

Andrew Marshall, 24, of Jubilee Court, Banbury, admitted stealing food to the value of £30, in Banbury on February 6. Given a conditional discharge for six months, and ordered to pay £30 compensation.

Carlos Ferrera, 40, of Stanton St John, admitted speeding on the Eastern Bypass, Oxford, on October 2. Found to be travelling at 81mph in a 50mph zone. Given six penalty points, fined £100, ordered to pay £60 costs and a £15 victims’ surcharge.

Paul Fleetwood, 25, of Burwell Meadow, Witney, admitted failing without reasonable excuse to work on April 24, as instructed on March 12. Order varied, curfew requirement added and ordered to pay £50 costs.
