I FEEL sorry for those who have lost money through the card cloning in Headington (Oxford Mail, June 3).

Even if the money is replaced by the bank, it all takes time – and most people cannot afford to have the money taken from their account, especially young mothers with children.

I think Headington is targeted not because people there are well off, but because it has an easy escape to the M40. I see that most cards are used in the London area.

If all cash machine users followed the police advice of using one hand to cover the key pad, while tapping in their number, this would block any camera which may be used, from recording their pin number.
