BANBURY MP Tony Baldry has invited the Government’s new Health Secretary to visit The Horton Hospital to find out about its importance to the community.
One of the first letters to land on the desk of Andy Burnham, was from Mr Baldry inviting him to find out about the fight to keep a full range of services at the hospital. Mr Baldry said: “Some while ago Alan Johnson, when Secretary of State for Health, accepted an invitation at the despatch box to come and visit the Horton.
“Indeed, there was actually a firm date in the diary for such a visit a few weeks ago, but it got postponed because of Parliamentary business.
“I think it’s very important that we try to get the new Secretary of State to visit The Horton as soon as possible so he can be aware of the issues.”
