HOW can Gordon Brown call for “open, transparent democracy, so that the public can see all things are above board”, yet at the same time allow the Department of Health to keep information on abortion statistics hidden from the public?

What have they got to hide?

For a long time pro-life supporters have asked for detailed yearly abortion statistics and for the real truth to be revealed about what really happens in the UK hospitals and private abortion clinics and the decisions made to abort healthy babies, late into a pregnancy.

How can the Government fight a freedom of information case on behalf of the Department of Health v ProLife Alliance, yet at the same time say it believes in transparency? This smacks of absolute hypocrisy.

It would be in the public interest to know how much income MPs receive from ‘pro-abortion’ organisations, clinics, pharmaceutical companies and private health care companies who all have a financial vested interest.

We know that hundreds of thousands of pounds are spent by these organisations, lobbying MPs to keep them on the pro-choice side.

It would be very interesting to know the breakdown of this money, the total amount paid each year to all MPs and to know which MPs receive private income from such organisations for 'advisory services' to these organisations.

If the Government and MPs have nothing to hide, then open your financial files and your detailed abortion statistics now, so that they can be seen by the general public, who can then make informed decisions before deciding who to vote for at the next General Election.
