A 22-year-old man suffered a broken jaw when he was attacked twice in Oxford city centre.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the victim was assaulted by four men outside Kebab Kid, in Gloucester Green, some time between 3.30am and 4am on Saturday.

The gang then walked off to the junction of Queen Street and St Ebbe’s, where the victim was assaulted again by the same group, this time suffering a broken jaw and losing some of his teeth.

His main attacker was described as possibly Arabic, aged about 20, 5ft 9in, thin with medium-length spiky black hair.

He was clean shaven and was wearing black-framed glasses, a black jacket and blue jeans.

Dc Simon Hannam said: “These men walked from Hythe Bridge Street in the direction of Queen Street at a time when there were still plenty of people around.

“I urge anyone who might have seen these men or saw any suspicious activity in the area to get in touch.”

Anyone with information should call Dc Hannam on 08458 505505 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
