Staff and customers at Bicester Country Club in Chesterton are celebrating this month with the Grand Opening of recent developments and improvements to existing facilities.

Under the watchful eye of the Payne family since summer 2006 a range of local tradesmen have been hard at work transforming the original clubhouse building, comprising golf club, health and fitness club, beauty spa and crèche to the finished product now complete.

Business development manager Adam Payne said: "Seeing the stunning completed building and the variety of people using the different facilities, makes the months of hard work worthwhile.

"The team here has been through the experience as a family and we now extend that family to everyone who walks through the door.'" Some 52 bedrooms have been added, all equipped to a very high standard including air conditioning, wireless Internet connection and digital TV with views across the 135 acres of beautiful Oxfordshire countryside or designer courtyard garden.

The Brasserie and Grays Lounge Bar and Restaurant provide a range of options for dining from morning coffee, snacks and light lunches through to a three course dinner carefully prepared by our team of chefs under the watchful eye of head chef Mike Keenleyside, who recently joined the team after many years experience in a well-known local hotel.

The Orangery Suite is a stunning multi-purpose room catering for up to 200 guests, with its private bar and large skylight, alongside air conditioning and a classic finish it can be used for a range of events including weddings, private parties and conferences throughout the year.

Director Graham Payne summed up the developments, saying: "The complex is now finished - our dream is now a reality."
