Model train enthusiasts steamed into Kidlington for the 26th annual Scoutrail exhibition.
More than 1,000 people visited the show at the village’s Exeter Hall over the weekend.
The exhibition is stages to raise money for the 33rd Oxford (Kidlington) Scout Group.
Exhibits included 1920s and 1930s steam engines, a display of vintage Hornby O-gauge tinplate engines, a display of an American railway and lumber yard, and model railway layouts based on the Rhine Valley in Germany and the Thames Valley.
Mathew Ward, 10, who has been a Cub Scout for about two years, said: “I’m very into trains and very into Scouts.”
Scout group leader Andrew Innes said: “It has gone very well. We had people commenting on the way out that it was a brilliant exhibition.”
The money raised will go towards a £9,000 appeal to pay for a new floor at the group’s headquarters, in Blenheim Drive.
