Drivers heading towards Oxfordshire were hit by delays after a car fire on the M40 in Buckinghamshire.
One lane was closed and queueing traffic was reported due to the fire on the M40 northbound between Junction 4 A404/A4010 (High Wycombe Handy Cross Roundabout) and Junction 5 at Stokenchurch.
A car caught fire at about midday closing two lanes temporarily.
One lane remains closed and delays of almost half an hour are reported.
