A main street in Witney is now re-open to traffic in time for the pre-Christmas shopping period.
Welch Way from the junction with High Street and Woodford Way was closed more than two months ago for major work on drains and other utilities in connection with the redevelopment of Marriotts Close.
Mike McLoughlin, West Oxfordshire District Council street scene officer, said: “It will need to be closed again, but we have said not until next spring because of other major roadworks in January, renewing gas mains in Bridge Street.
“The reopening now is in time for the busy pre-Christmas shopping period.”
