The earth is the theme of this year's national Big Draw festival being celebrated in Oxford and Witney this weekend.

The ninth Big Draw, which attracts people of all ages, takes place at the Museum of the History of Science, Broad Street, Oxford, on Saturday from noon to 5pm.

Children aged seven upwards are invited to make a drawing that's global — on the theme of Planet Earth — by using maps and globes.

For more details call 01865 277280.

While on the same day, Cogges Manor Farm Museum is holding a similar event, with the earth and the natural environment as the theme, from 11am to 5pm. The event is repeated on Sunday.

Normal admission prices to the museum on Church Lane, Cogges, Witney, of £6 for adults and £2.50 for children apply. Call 01993 772602 for further details.

More events are planned across Oxfordshire this month and into November. Visit www.thebigdraw.org for further information.
