Four men were today convicted of being part of a gang that robbed a security van outside the HSBC bank in Summertown, Oxford.

Terrence Wallace, 26, Adrian Johnson, 28, Leroy Wilkinson, 29, and Victor Iniodu, 34, all from south London, denied charges of conspiracy to rob.

However, they were convicted of plotting and carrying out 18 raids between April 2006 and September last year — including the raid at the Banbury Road bank, in November 2006.

The spree only ended when the mastermind Mark Nunes and accomplice Andrew Markland were shot dead by police in Hampshire.

The gang will be sentenced on October 31.
