Supermarket chain Sainsbury's will close its store in London Road, Headington, for good this afternoon.
Sainsbury's has ended its working relationship with petrol giant Shell and is closing all its Local stores on garage forecourts.
The petrol station will be temporarily closed while the store is refurbished.
A spokesman for Shell said they hoped to have it back in operation "as soon as possible".
It is not yet known which company will replace Sainsbury's on the site.
