In my working life I have met many celebrities, from royals, actors/esses, singers, polititians, the likes of Cary Grant, Sofia Queen of Spain, Prince Michael of Kent, Rod Stewart, Kate Winslet and so on. On the face of it this famous people are just like you and me. I filmed with Anton Rogers, asked him to have lunch in the restaurant, he said I cannot afford it, cracky this was an actor on TV, at the time filming “THE FRESH FIELDS”, later became “FRENCH FIELDS”, another incident was with June Whitfield of “Terry & June”, she came down for dinner and said to me I saw you on TV, I replied, I see you on TV every week, ha!! that is my job, I was on a promotional video of the hotel. I did a sketch with Rowan Atiknson to be shown on TV, it was about him having won the game of “BLIND DATE”, my bit was, me taking the couple to the table, by the way she was a gorgeous blonde, Rowan was playing the part of Mr Bean, I pulled the chair for the lady, but Mr Bean came to sit down so I moved over to pull the other chair for the lady, but he moved over to take the seat again looking at me scornfully, the funny thing is that men still do it in my restaurant, there are Mr Bean is still out there. He was so fussy that he wanted to see every take. I was not going to talk about men, but here we go Michael Douglas stayed, not much fuss, however 007 (Pierce Brosnan) stays in, all my girls went bananas, I was prouncing like the Ferrari stallion, he is a year older than me and some bits have been modified. Than there are the celebrity chefs, what abunch of pridonnas, I met the F one and more, I even have a friend chef Jean-Christophe Novelli, that is the French good looking one on,Hell`s Kitchen, has been voted THE SEXIEST CHEF IN THE WORLD by Times magazine New York he came to have breakfast with me not long ago, there wego the girls swanning around trying to have a picture with him,at least I know him, we share the same passion cooking and women.
