Rebekah Vardy's ex-partner and Oxford United star was jailed for operating a cannabis factory.

Luke Foster played for the club between 2007 and 2010 and was Vardy’s boyfriend for six years with the couple having a son together.

The pair dramatically split in 2013 when Rebekah started to pursue a relationship with Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy, marrying him in 2016.

Fast forward to the present and Foster was handed three years in March after admitting three charges alongside two other people.

According to national reports, a source said of Foster’s conviction: “This is devastating for Becky — she’s only just found out about this, and of course she’s furious. It’s outrageous.

“Her sole concern is to protect her son, making sure he’s surrounded by people who love him, and that this has zero impact on his education and anything else that could affect a teenage boy.”

The 38-year-old former footballer met Becky in 2007 while signed to Oxford and the couple had a son during that stint.

Now the ex-defender is serving his jail term at HMP Nottingham after pleading guilty to growing Class B drug cannabis along with two others last month.

During his time for Oxford, Foster made 118 appearances and scored three goals while playing in the Yellows’ backline.
