Banbury's MP has visited a hospice to see how it has been getting on following refurbishments.

Victoria Prentis visited Katharine House Hospice in Adderbury, which has increased its bed space by 25 per cent this month

She sat down with hospice CEO Emma Radley and chair of the board Sir Tim Jenner to discuss the progression of work.

Ms Prentis received a tour of the facility followed by a detailed discussion with Ms Radley and Sir Tim.

She said: "Katharine House Hospice is an incredibly special place in our community, supporting more than 1,300 patients with life limiting conditions each year.

"I was pleased to visit last week for a catchup with CEO Emma Radley and chair of the board Sir Tim Jenner.

"It was good to hear how well the team have been getting on and to see some of the refurbishments that have taken place which will enable the team to continue providing high-quality care to those they look after.

"I think we can all agree just how well the partnership between Katharine House Hospice and Oxford University Hospitals has been going.

"Working in such a joined-up way has brought with it many advantages including improved specialist care.

“It is important that we carry on doing everything we can to support and protect our much loved local hospice.”
