A free special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) fair is set to take place in in Didcot.

It has been organised by Wantage MP David Johnston and will feature Clear Sky Children’s Charity, Carers Oxfordshire, Family Action, My Vision Oxfordshire, and Flexicare.

The event will provide a platform for families who care for those with special educational needs to gather information about these organisations' work and the support they offer.

Mr Johnston said: "Helping local parents access the support they need for children and young people with special educational needs has consistently been one of the top issues that I am written to about.

"I always try and resolve any issues that are raised with me, and I am now holding my SEND Fair to bring together all the local and national organisations that provide support to SEND children and young people and their parents and carers."

The fair is scheduled for May 28 at Didcot Civic Hall, from 12.30pm to 4.30pm.

Mr Johnston chose Didcot for the fair as it is the region where he receives the most SEND cases.

However, residents from across the constituency are welcomed to attend.

Pre-registration is encouraged and can be done via Mr Johnston's website, while organisations wishing to reserve a stall should reach out to Mr Johnston’s office directly.
