A Victorian murder mystery dinner is set to take place at Oxford Castle and Prison later this week.
The event on Saturday, April 20, will start in the castle's crypt.
Attendees will be welcomed with a glass of prosecco and will have the chance to mix and mingle while preparing for the crime-solving challenge that lies ahead.
The storyline is set to test the investigative abilities of each participant as they scrutinise the clues scattered across the prison.
Everyone will gather to swap theories over a two course meal served by the prisoners.
Participants will have the choice of herb crusted lamb shoulder with confit potato, pickled courgette, toasted almonds or the truffle potato and leek terrine accompanied by asparagus and a goat cheese croquette.
The meal will be rounded off with chocolate millionaires torte with raspberry crumble.
Attendees do not have to dress in line with the Victorian theme, but any efforts to do so will be welcomed.
A limited card bar will be open to serve drinks throughout the evening.
The event will start at 6pm, with dinner served around 8pm.
The evening will finish at around 9.30pm, although this may adjust according to the unfolding events of the evening.
Tickets to the event are limited, so The Castle and Prison strongly recommends early bookings, which can be made via the venue's website.
