Runners and walkers in Oxfordshire are being invited to take part in a fun run at Blenheim Palace.

Blenheim 7k, organised by charity Sue Ryder, is scheduled for May 19 at the world heritage site in Woodstock.

Community fundraiser at Sue Ryder, Marcella Rice, said: "This exciting event is a fun filled day for families and friends of all abilities to come together to support Sue Ryder in raising awareness and vital funds to help us continue to be there when it counts for our patients and families."

Those comfortable with the full distance will follow an undulating track which will take them past the palace, see them cross the Grand Bridge, and lead them along a lakeside path exclusive to the seven km route.

A wheelchair and buggy-friendly four mile route is also available, while there is a one mile race tailored for under 15s.

The fundraiser offers an opportunity for runners to take in the setting of Blenheim Palace.

Participants can choose to jog or walk the route.

Money raised from the fun run will go towards supporting Sue Ryder's end-of-life care provided in Henley, Goring, Wallingford and Benson at Sue Ryder Palliative Care Hub South Oxfordshire.
