Banbury United has raised £4,000 to support the club as it recovers from severe flooding.

The funds, raised through the club's flood relief auction, their JustGiving page and an individual donation have come as a significant relief.

Supporter Liam Meadows took home a signed 2021/22 season shirt, the auction's star item, for £460.

Richard Shaw was the man to come away with the most items on the night.

The club said: "A big thank you to everyone who contributed.

"Well done to both Liam and Richard."

The club has seen a number of its fixtures postponed since the start of the year due to floods caused by Storm Henk.

The auction took place after Banbury United's match against King's Lynn Town, which finished 1-1.
