TWO restaurants in Wallingford were broken into last week.

A restaurant on St Mary’s Street was targeted on March 26 at about 4am and Avanti, an Italian restaurant, on the High Street on March 29 was targeted between 3.55am and 4.15am.

The suspect appeared to be targeting cash at the businesses.

The Priority Crime Team, based in Abingdon, are now appealing for any witnesses who may have been in the area at the time to come forward and report what they saw to police.

Writing about the incidents on Facebook, Thames Valley Police South Oxon and Vale of White Horse wrote: "If you have any footage or relevant information you can get in touch by calling 101 quoting reference number 43240139774 (St Mary’s Street) or 43240144835 (High Street)."
