Tesla is set to open a new showroom in Bicester at a technology park later this month, the first in the region.

In a newsletter sent by Tesla and shared with the Oxford Mail, it reveals the new store will open on Saturday, April 13 in Charles Shoulder Way at Catalyst Bicester near the Holiday Inn hotel.

The opening is described as an “open family-friendly event” with a chance to meet Tesla technicians and get behind the wheel of cars on sale.

The opening event is scheduled to run from 11am to 4pm and newsletter subscribers are able to book a timeslot to test drive one of the cars on show.

The newsletter reads: “Come celebrate the opening of our new store on April 13 and experience Tesla for yourself.

“Get behind the wheel and experience Tesla Model 3 or Model Y.

“This is an open family-friendly event in which you will have the chance to meet our Tesla technicians, take part in the workshop tours, race the kids' cyberquad and meet Optimus the robot.

“Our Tesla advisors will be on hand to guide you through the test drive process and answer any of your questions about charging, financing and how a Tesla may benefit your lifestyle.

“Light refreshments will be provided.”
