An Oxfordshire born actor has been named as Bridgerton's "most influential" season three star.

Jonathan Bailey from Wallingford earns up to £20,100 per sponsored social media post.

A study by NoDeposit365.co.uk identified the earning capacities of Bridgerton season three cast members from sponsored Instagram posts.

Mr Bailey, who portrays Anthony Bridgerton, leads with potential earnings thanks to his more than 3.5 million followers.

Simone Ashley, playing Kate Sharma, trails in second and could pocket £19,500 per post with her more than 3.3 million followers.

Irish actor Nicola Coughlan, playing Penelope Featherington, is third with potential earnings of £16,400 per post and more than 2.7 million followers.

Season three lead Luke Newton, playing Colin Bridgerton, could earn up to £8,300 per post, while Golda Rosheuvel, who portrays Queen Charlotte, rounds up the top five with potential earnings of £3,500 per sponsored post, given her 359,000-plus Instagram followers.

Olivia King, a spokesperson from NoDeposit365.co.uk, said: "The incredible reception to the first two seasons of the show certainly added to the online followings of its cast members when they first aired.

“Given Bridgerton’s avid fanbase, the release of season three is likely to further boost the social media followings for these cast members, particularly those portraying characters who are now taking more of a leading role.”

Bridgerton season three will hit Netflix screens in two parts, the first on May 16, and the second on June 13.
