Oxford United has announced a new single night music event in support of two charities.

PlanetOx will be held at The Bullingdon on May 23 with four artists set to perform.

The festival aims to raise funds for Youth Music and Oxford United's official charity, Oxford United in the Community.

The Mezz, Leonidas, and The Mucks have been confirmed, with one slot remaining for an up-and-coming artist.

The Mezz said: “We’re really looking forward to PlanetOx and working with Oxford United once again.

"It’s going to be a fun night and great way to raise money for both Youth Music and Oxford United in the Community.”

The club is opening the final slot to anybody in the county and they are accepting applications now.

Sam Heason, supporter marketing manager at Oxford United, added: “Music is an integral part of football.

"We all have songs that take us back to a specific footballing moment, whether that’s chants from the terraces or the soundtrack to your favourite game.

"We want to play a part in creating those memories and what better way to do that than to celebrate Oxfordshire music at an iconic Oxford venue whilst raising money for some amazing charities.”

Those who buy a ticket before March 25 will be entered into a prize draw for a signed limited edition Oxford United x The Mezz shirt.

Tickets are limited, priced from £15 and can be bought from the Oxford United website.
