Spring has sprung and young children discovered all the different ways nature wakes up from its long winter sleep.

Young Rangers, a wildlife club for for eight to 11 year olds, lets children get up close to nature and explore the great outdoors.

At a session at Sutton Courtenay Environmental Education Centre a group took part in fun games and activities to learn more about the natural world and wildlife including insects, plants, birds and mammals.

Organiser Anne Jackson took the youngsters on a journey of discovery around the beautiful nature reserve with woodland, meadow and ponds in Milton Park in Didcot.

Kids can also complete valuable conservation work and develop bush craft skills including fire lighting and campfire cooking at the 19-acre centre which is run by Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust (BBOWT).
