The RSPCA's Oxfordshire branch is appealing for donations to support its work in preparing dogs for re-homing.

RSPCA and Crowdfunder have teamed up to launch the national campaign #EveryoneForEveryAnimal.

The Oxfordshire branch will be joining up with a rescue centre to rent some of their kennel space as part of the campaign.

Together, they aim to provide luxury kennels and one-on-one training for their rescue dogs, followed by a transition into foster homes, and then a permanent home in the county.

However, the cost of this cooperation comes to £16,000 annually.

Other branches of the RSPCA across England and Wales have also launched fundraisers for projects.

The Oxfordshire branch is one of four in the south central region looking for donations.

Donations to the Milton Keynes and North Buckinghamshire branch will contribute to the refurbishment of cattery pens, while the Reading and Oxon Border branch will use funds for neutering programmes, education campaigns, and outreach efforts.

Moreover, there are four national fundraisers under the #EveryoneForEveryAnimal campaign that aims to raise funds for various RSPCA projects.

Entering its 200th anniversary, the RSPCA aims to "create a better world for every animal".

Dermot Murphy, RSPCA inspectorate commissioner, said: "For almost two centuries, the RSPCA has been changing minds, laws, industries and lives to create a better world for animals and people alike.

"We have come a long way in 200 years but there is still so much more to do."

He said animals face significant challenges due to issues like factory farming, climate change, and the cost of living crisis.

He added: "In our 200th year we want to inspire one million people to join our movement to improve animals' lives.

"We are incredibly proud of our network of branches across England and Wales and their dedication to animal welfare in their communities.

"We hope this campaign and their individual fundraisers will ensure they are able to continue to help more animals across their regions."

Since its establishment in 1824, the RSPCA has had a significant impact on animal welfare.

In the last decade, the charity found homes for more than 405,000 pets, provided veterinary treatment to 1.7 million animals, and delivered 1.5 million pet meals in partnership with food banks.

Now, more than ever, the RSPCA is calling on the public to help create a better world for all animals.

Donations can be made to support local RSPCA branches or the RSPCA #EveryoneForEveryAnimal national campaign.
