An Oxford-based gym is running a  £350,000 crowd funder to raise money for three new venues in Oxfordshire.

Female-owned Project PT, with a special focus on empowering members through movement and supporting vulnerable individuals,  has collaborated with Ethex to launch the crowd funder on March 18.

It plans on opening three new gyms in Botley and Headington, with the third location to be either in Abingdon or Summertown.

Project PT specialises in group fitness sessions, personal training, workshops and qualifications from its base at the Magdalen Road location.

It also funds and receives funding to run intervention programmes for young people and adults annually.

Ajaye Hunn-Phillips, who founded The Project PT with wife Alexa Hunn-Phillips, said: "We're incredibly passionate about this initiative and the positive change it will bring to our community.

"Our vision is to extend our services in the coming years to work with 1,000 young people across Oxfordshire each year.

"We welcome investors to join us in our mission to empower individuals and uplift communities."

To fulfil its expansion and social impact goals, The Project PT is aiming to raise £350,000 through bonds.

The crowd funder offers a six-year bond at 7 per cent interest with a minimum investment of £500.

People over the age of 18 are eligible to invest.

Alexa said: "The capital raised will enable us to extend our reach to diverse communities.

"The additional gym locations will significantly enhance our capacity to deliver quality sessions for our gym members, innovative programs, qualifications, and work experience to vulnerable young people.

"Our recent social impact report underscores the transformative effects we've had on our members, as well as the individuals benefiting from our intervention projects.

"By fostering a sense of community and bolstering self-confidence, we've succeeded in bringing people closer together.”

The new gyms, just like the existing one on Magdalen Road, will have open layouts, abundant greenery, vibrant aesthetics aimed at creating an inclusive and welcoming environment.

Alexa said their primary objective has always been to make individuals feel comfortable and valued.

The seven-year vision for The Project PT includes the opening of up to three gyms reaching 2,000 people, expanding their social impact programme to assist more than 1,000 individuals yearly, creating employment for 50 fitness coaches and to provide a blueprint of creating inclusive fitness spaces.
