In conjunction with International Women's Day, the RAF Brize Norton held a fundraising afternoon Tea Event.
RAF Brize Norton celebrated International Women's Day on March 8, with a special of focus of learning about the history of the Women’s Institute's (WI) Carterton Branch.
RAF Brize Norton had the opportunity to explore women's contributions throughout history.
Jan Barnard from Carterton WI, said: "It’s been a great day for Carterton WI to share our fundraising afternoon Tea Event with the ladies from RAF Brize Norton as we celebrated International Women’s day alongside Carterton Community."
The 2024 theme for the international celebration is Inspire Inclusion which the Carterton ladies have embodied.
Beverley Masters, a civil servant, said: "It has been a fantastic afternoon, spending time with amazing ladies from across a diverse community.
"If ever inspiration was needed, then these are most definitely the women to talk to."
The colours that represent International Women’s Day have a significant meaning, with purple signifying justice and dignity, green symbolising hope and white representing purity.
