A woman is set to walk from Cardiff to London in eight days to raise money for the hospice that cared for her mother before she died.
Olivia Jenkins, founder of D. Louise jewellery, will be the first woman to undertake this challenging journey.
The goal is to support Penarth Hospice in Cardiff.
She sadly lost her mother to cancer in 2017 and her brother to suicide in 2021.
All proceeds from her ambitious walk will be given to the hospice, a testament to her resolve to respond to life's blows in a constructive light.
Her itinerary involves walking further than a marathon each day for eight consecutive days, beginning at Penarth Hospice and concluding at the D. Louise office in South West London.
Throughout the walk, friends, family, and well-wishers are invited to accompany her, offering a chance for those who've faced loss to share stories and create new memories.
The fundraiser will take place ahead of Mother's Day, which this year falls on March 10.
She will pass through Cromhall, Somerford Keynes and Burford on the third and fourth leg of the walk - on March 5 and 6.
Having experienced personally the brevity of life through her losses, Ms Jenkins established D.Louise, a cost-effective jewellery line bearing her mother's name.
