An employee at a Cotswolds farm which combines animals, fairy tales and adventure play has been shortlisted for VisitEngland's Tourism Superstar award for 2024.
Liam White, an animal team leader at Fairytale Farm, is now hoping for votes from the public to secure a win.
Mr White, who works at the farm located near Chipping Norton has earned high praises from visitors for going above and beyond to create a memorable visit.
Mr White said: "I feel so honoured and delighted to have been shortlisted for this award and to be down to the final 10 nominees is just incredible.
"I love every moment of my job, so it's an amazing feeling to receive this recognition.
"My role at Fairytale Farm has such variety: from meeting new and wonderful customers daily, to helping visitors, staff and volunteers achieve their goals, as well as bettering themselves from learning on the farm, every day is something new.
"And having a little fun along the way with the amazing team at Fairytale Farm makes it really special."
The awards, now in their 12th year, seek to "find the unsung heroes currently working in tourism who provide unforgettable visitor experiences".
There are 10 finalists competing to take the title, with voting open from February 19 to March 24.
Nick Laister, director of Fairytale Farm, said: "We are delighted that our animal manager, Liam White, has reached the finals of VisitEngand’s Tourism Superstar awards.
"Fairytale Farm is a unique attraction in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds, which mixes classic fairy tales and sensory experiences with animals and adventure play.
"With accessibility and inclusivity at the core of everything we do, Liam goes out of his way to engage with all of our guests, regardless of ability, giving a really personal and empathetic experience to everyone.
"It is fantastic to have received the support of Cotswold Tourism and Experience Oxfordshire for our entry into these awards and our fingers are well and truly crossed for Liam."
The local visitor economy partnerships of Cotswolds Tourism and Experience Oxfordshire are rallying behind Mr White’s nomination and urging locals to cast their votes in his favour.
Sally Graff, of Cotswolds Tourism, said: "We are delighted that Liam has been shortlisted for VisitEngland’s Tourism Superstar awards this year and we will be actively encouraging the public and businesses all across the wider Cotswolds region to vote for him.
"We want to raise awareness of this amazing accessible, family visitor attraction where Liam’s enthusiasm shines through."
