Seven flood warnings are currently in place for Oxfordshire, with heavy rainfall having caused river levels to rise once more.

41 flood alerts are also in the wider area, where some flooding “is possible” – according to Gov.Uk

Oxfordshire County Council has also confirmed it has issued “high numbers of flood alerts and a small number of flood warnings in Oxfordshire (on sections of the River Ray and Thame)”.

In Wallingford, the riverside car park has once again been affected by flooding, as the rising level of the River Thames has encroached over the surrounding areas.

Motorists with vehicles currently parked in the car park have been urged to remove their vehicles for safety reasons.

In Abingdon, the Tesco Extra store in Marcham Road has once again closed today (Saturday, February 10) as flood water has begun to cover the car park.

The county council has further advised residents to consult its website, specially a page on river levels, where advice concerning flood alerts and flood warnings, weather forecasts, flooding advice and information on power outages and school closures is shared.
