Cricketers from Warriner (Bloxham) have been in superb form to book their places in three Oxfordshire League finals.

In the Oxfordshire Under 14 League semi-finals, Warriner swept aside Cheney (Oxford) by 52 runs.

Justin Lambden made 31 as Warriner reached 121-8, and then Cheney (Oxford) were held to 69-8 with change bowlers Dan Clarke (3-4), Paul Lewis (2-6) and Matt Foley (2-10) doing the damage.

In the quarter-finals, Warriner eased past Bartholomew (Eynsham) by 43 runs.

Lloyd Sabin led the way with 55 and Lambden was unbeaten on 45 as Warriner rattled up 119-1.

Bartholomew were then dismissed for 76 all out, despite Zubair top-scoring with 47 as Chris Isham took 3-3 and Sabin 3-15.

Now Warriner are away to Burford in the final on Tuesday.

In their semi-final, Burford beat St Birinus (Didcot) by 53 runs.

Harvey Turner (25no) steered Burford to 125-5 off 20 overs as Tom Webb took 3-29.

St Birinus were then held to 72-9 after a tight spell from Josh Hornsby, who took 4-10.

In the Oxfordshire Under 13 League play-off semi-finals, Warriner scraped past Lord Williams's (Thame) by two runs.

Warriner were held to 80-8, but then some tight bowling saw Lord Williams's fall two runs short on 78-9.

St Birinus had a much easier passage in the other semi-final, beating Henry Box (Witney) by 64 runs.

Nick Grain (31no) top-scored in St Birinus's 122-3, before Sam Couldrick (4-13) and Sean Stewart (3-7) sent Henry Box crashing to 58 all out.

Warriner and St Birinus also made it through to the Oxfordshire Under 12 League final.

Warriner amassed 285-2 against Cooper (Bicester), who made 234-2, while St Birinus rattled up 239-6 to see off Larkmead (Abingdon), who reached 172-7.

Bicester continued their excellent run in the Oxfordshire Under 15 League play-off semi-finals with a five-wicket win over favourites Oxford.

Oxford were bowled out for 66 with Aaron Hatton taking 3-11 and Reece Green 3-18.

Jordan Ayris then top-scored with 23 as Bicester reached 68-5 off 13.3 overs.
