An alcoholic who admitted stealing an £80 television aerial to pay for drink has been handed a conditional discharge.
Oxford Magistrates' Court heard Jason Scibilia, of Divinity Road, East Oxford, took the aerial from Robert Dyas hardware store after his wallet was stolen and he had no cash to pay for drink.
The 34-year-old was handed a six-month conditional discharge after magistrates heard he was embarrassed about the theft.
