They call Wychwood Green Goblin cider the drink with attitude - well it's certainly a delicious full-bodied cider made from English apples and aged in 100-year-old oak to give it character and flavour.

Wychwood Green Goblin cider is not produced in Witney, but in partnership with Thatchers, who have been producing it in Somerset for more than 100 years.

They create it for Wychwood from Dabinett and Somerset Redstreak varieties of cider apples which are harvested in September.

Green Goblin cider tastes great drunk chilled just as it is, but if you happen to have a few ripe strawberries in the kitchen and want to create an inexpensive summer party drink here's what you have to do.

YOU WILL NEED: One bottle of Green Goblin cider for two glasses Four large strawberries Generous dash of grenadine.

METHOD: Hull the strawberries and place them in the blender.

Add a generous dash of grenadine.

Zap them into a pulp.

Divide the pulp between two chilled glasses and carefully top up with Green Goblin cider.

Note: You will find that the strawberry pulp floats to the top, which is fine as it allows you to enjoy the taste sensation of cider as it's filtered through the strawberry mix. An ideal way of welcoming your BBQ guests.
