We have been told by Oxfordshire County Council that we will have to wait until next year before it reviews our request for extra off-peak buses on the No 16 route in Oxford.
I sat at the bus stop at Templars Square, by the old post office, at 10.45am last Wednesday morning.
I waited an hour for the No 16 bus. I could not believe my eyes.
Seven, yes seven Nos 1 and 5 buses from Blackbird Leys went into Oxford, some of them empty.
Surely, if Stagecoach takes even one of these buses off that route and puts it on the No 16 route, it would not cost Stagecoach or the county council any more money?
No-one really cares about the older generation any more. All that matters is money.
