Dozens of people attended a bike ride organised by a local mosque to raise funds for innocent victims of conflict in Gaza.

The Central Oxford Mosque welcomed cyclists for its 'Gather 4 Gaza unity ride' on Sunday November 5, beginning at noon.

Mosque trustee Faisal Aziz said that participants came from as far as Bristol and Birmingham with one group raising £25,000 alone.

He added: "The brothers that attended cycled peacefully through Oxford's historical and iconic landmarks to a fantastic response from Oxfordians and spread the message of the need for an immediate cease fire and peace and awareness for the innocent victims of genocide."
