A man today denied sexually assaulting a woman after pinning her to a bed.

Martin Piltz, 23, giving evidence in his defence at Oxford Crown Court, told the jury he was with his alleged victim on the night in question last October - but did not attack her.

Piltz, of Walton Well Road, in Jericho, Oxford, denies a charge of sexual assault. Plitz, who is German, claimed the woman told him she thought Adolf Hitler was a "great leader" and she did not want foreigners in the country.

During cross-examination, he denied claims by Ian Thomas, prosecuting, that he thought British girls were "very easy" and that he was trying to discredit his alleged victim with his claims about her attitude towards foreigners.

Mr Thomas said: "I think you're saying that to try to blacken her name."

Summing up, he added: "What I would suggest is that he did not take kindly to being shrugged off by the victim."

David Bright, defending, said: "All this defendant is asking you to consider as jurors is that is it possible this is a false report?"

The alleged victim said Piltz had asked her to say his country was the "greatest nation" - which she refused to do - before launching his attack.

She said she was so frightened after the attack that she ran to the bathroom and locked herself in.

The case continues.
