This is a reader's letter published in Monday's edition of the Oxford Mail.

I am 13 suffering with the fight against cancer and writing to tell you about the experience whilst nurses have been striking.

I know there will be another NHS strike next month.

Many have been concerned that this will cause problems for those in need, but I oppose that sentiment firsthand.

During the last strike at the John Radcliffe Hospital in December. I was due for my second round of chemotheraphy.

There was no shortage of nurses to help me out and so much more.

With just the click of a button they'd be at your bedside.

Oxford Mail: The John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford The John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford

Not only did I receive my chemotheraphy treatment but the nurses create a safe, friendly and creative environment.

The hospital was held to just the same standard as it had been before.

I was even served a full plate of warm, lovely dinner of my choosing alongside a chosen dessert.

The nurses truly are providing the full support I need during this time, alongside so much more.
