Stories of the heroic work of our firefighters regularly come out but you have to give them even more thanks for the dramatic yet efficient rescue of a young family yesterday.
You can imagine the horror of the mother as she screamed from her top floor window that she could not get to her three children through the smoke and the flames.
The firefighters searched the three-storey home and pulled out all three children and the mother in six minutes, saving them from any serious injury.
Once again we salute them.
