I must fully agree with Anthony Lee about Oxford's Christmas lights (Oxford Mail, December 10).
Short and to the point - what an utter disgrace they are.
If a celebrity had been asked to switch them on, he or she would surely have been embarrassed.
Lord Mayor John Tanner said that he would switch them on to save money - do I assume that he did not claim expenses?
No doubt we, the public, will receive some 'official' explanation in the near future.
