A man has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent following an assault in Banbury on Friday.
At 1.30am, a 21-year-old man was attacked in Marlborough Road. He is still being treated in hospital for his injuries, which are serious but not life-threatening.
Three men were arrested. Richard Murray, 25, of Hayman Road, Brackley, was charged with the offence and appeared at Oxford Magistrates' Court on Saturday and was remanded to appear at Oxford Crown Court on Friday.
A 19-year-old man was released without charge and another 19-year-old man was released on police bail.
