Official figures show a dramatic rise in the superbug Clostridium difficile in Oxfordshire's main hospitals.
But the Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals NHS Trust remains optimistic.
It says the number of cases is dropping and thanks to a raft of new measures, it expects the trend to continue.
