PEUGEOT'S new entrant in the medium car segment will soon be available in three-door and automatic gearbox versions.

With the introduction of the 308 three door range in December, which will be available in Urban, S, Sport and GT trim levels, two automatic gearbox, five-door models will also be launched, with prices from £15,095.

From December, the 1.6-litre VTi 120 horsepower petrol engine will now also be available with a four-speed, auto-adaptive automatic gearbox, with Tiptronic sequential manual control, in the 308 S five-door model. Peugeot says the new gearbox option is ideally suited for modern urban driving and will appeal to customers particularly keen on convenience and ease of use. A second automatic gearbox version, the 308 SE THP 140 will also be available.

This model uses a new version of the 1.6-litre THP turbocharged petrol engine, previously producing 150 bhp, but now retuned to produce 140 horsepower.
