WE HAVE A WINNER! Click here for our favourite and the top 6
PET owners around the world will 'paws' for thought today as we celebrate International Cat Day.
A whole 24 hours have been dedicated today to recognise the furry felines as one of the world's most popular pets.
The Oxford Mail is calling on its cat-loving readers to help mark the day by sending in your best cat pictures and by 3pm we will pick our favourite to take pride of place on our website and on social media.
Please include your own contact details as well as your marvellous moggies names.
To start off the proceedings pictured above is rescue cat Dizty who is currently staying with Four Paws Cat Rescue in Forest Hill, Oxford.
The pretty pet was sadly passed on to the rescue when her owners had to move away and hasn't taken it very well.
Rescue founder Wendy Edens said: "She has taken it really badly and is quite depressed.
"She would such a loving cat and it is my mission to get her a home."
Ms Eden said Dizty eight years old with a tortoiseshell coat. Her new home would need to be with an experienced cat owner, with no children or other pets, excluding cats.
If you can help give Dizty a new home contact Ms Eden on 01865 452 886 or see fourpawscatrescue.org.uk

What is your response?Harry is a rescue cat, who at the animal rescue centre in Chilton that afternoon, in a barn full of cats in little individual houses, was the only one to actually be awake. In our liberal benevolence we believe that we are rescuing them, but he came to live with me at a time of an infernal cacophony of tragic events and we have been bonded cat and human ever since. He chose me, rather than me choosing him and you do wonder who rescued whom. Katie is an extraordinary animal, who once climbed through the window in my roof and down the outside wall of my house. She can open all the internal doors in the house climb curtain poles and brings mischief and great joy to my life. Harry is named in honour of Laurence Olivier's portrayal of King Henry V - which I thought was a black and white film, as a black and white television was all we had in those days - and Katie is named in honour of Catherine of Valois, queen consort 1420-1422.
