POLICE hunting thieves targeting elderly women have released CCTV images of two people. 

A 76-year-old woman was shopping at Sainsbury's in Bicester at 2pm on Monday, June 18, when a woman spoke to her. She later discovered her purse and bank card were missing.

Another incident on Monday, June 25, at Wilko in Bicester involved an 84-year-old woman. The woman was shoping at around 10.30am when a man and woman persistently bumped into her and blocked her path. Upon leaving the shop, the victim realised that cash had been stolen from her bag. 

Investigating officer PC Hannah Woodd based at Bicester Police Station said: "We are investigating two incidents of theft which we believe to be linked. I believe the man and woman shown in the CCTV images will have important information to help us with our investigation.

"I would urge anyone who recognises the people in these pictures to call the police, or if you have information about these incidents, please contact us by calling our non-emergency number 101."
