OXFORD erupted as England brushed Sweden aside to qualify for the World Cup semi-finals.
As the final whistle blew on the 2-0 win, George Street yesterday saw scenes of jubilation, with crowds celebrating wildly outside the Wig and Pen and O'Neill's .

Crowds chanted the Three Lions anthem and the newly-popular 'Southgate you're the one'.

England's goals, from Harry Maguire and Dele Alli, were celebrated with considerable gusto in pubs across the city.
This isn’t the same video as earlier. Just very similar but slightly more euphoric. Scenes. pic.twitter.com/5s7QrkLyx8

Long-suffering England fan Ian Covell watched the game in O’Neill’s and joined the celebrations as they spilled out onto George Street.
He said: “It’s absolutely amazing - we always get knocked out early on, I just can’t believe we’ve made the semi-final.
“George Street was crazy and we’ve only won the quarters - imagine what it’ll be like if we win it.”
Fellow fan Arran Colley was also swept up in the George Street celebrations.
He said: “It’s just unreal - I can't get my head around it.
“I have never seen anything like this and never seen Oxford like it.”
Celebrations were good natured, and police appeared to let fans enjoy the moment.

Chloe Kargodorian, a 22-year-old from Los Angeles visiting the city, said she was supporting England.
"If I'm here I want them to win.
"Every time the game is on we want to see it. Whatever we're doing we make sure we're watching the game. We came to visit and tour Oxford, but then we halted our plan here to ensure that we saw this game.
"I like the atmosphere a lot - it's very quaint. It feels very European, it's not like the city life in the heart of London."
John Dorian, a 43-year old fan, added: "The atmosphere is of quiet - and sometimes less so - expectation.
"The partying in the street was certainly less quiet!"
